Inspired by our Great (Great) Grandfather, the son of an Irish prostitute & an aboriginal father,
ostracized, with nothing, he forged his future when he seduced an old woman, stole her jewels, & went on the run.
Ambiguously white, enough to blend in, he could move between worlds;
He narrowly alluded custody, but with nowhere left to run, he dived into the river,
Even on his final day he would shuffle to the kitchen, pour himself a generous helping of whatever moonshine he could get his hands on, & drink a toast to the lovers,
‘To the past ones, the great ones, the crazy ones, the passionate ones,
the forbidden ones, the ones yet to come.
The loves we find & the ones we leave behind.
The ones that forge us, change us, break us & inspire us.

he forged his future when he seduced an old woman, stole her jewels,
& left to travel the world.
Making his way as a conman & racketeer he was on the run, leaving Leaden Hearts
across Asia & Europe, until he was caught in the bed of an heiress in the UK.
He narrowly illuded custody, but with nowhere left to run
he returned to the penal colonies, serving only 3 years before escaping
into the bush of the North East Coast of New South Wales.
Leaden Hearts Smoked Bluegum Origin Whiskey is the taste of the adventurer,
celebrating the lives he lived, people he met, women he loved, & stories he left behind.
Smoked with hand-cut native bluegum trees & distilled on the land he was born,
He lived each day as if it were going to be his last,
with a drink in one hand & a woman in the other.
But never the same one.
