Leaden Hearts Koolkuna Gin Scented Hand Sanitizer was inspired as a Covid-19 pandemic relief initiative.
To date (05.30.2020), there are 5.5 million confirmed cases of the virus, that has lead to the reported deaths of more than 350,000 people. In an effort to bolster supplies nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic, Leaden Hearts, like other distilleries around the country, & the world, turned our focus from our traditional spirits to hand sanitizer.
Created from the heads & tails of our Gin, both our Gel & Liquid Hand Sanitizer has been from created from, & in accordance with guidelines provided by the Centres for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) & the World Heath Organization (WHO).
We have making our sanitizer since April 1st 2020, donating the majority of our produce as part of our 500 litre donation goal to assist those most vulnerable in the community.
We have all done an incredible job, each doing our part to flattening the curve, & slow the spread of the virus, but the work is far from done. Now, as governments begin tentatively easing restrictions, we need to be just as vigilante as we were when this all started.
It’s not just for you, or your loved ones, but for everyone in our community. The people you’ll likely never meet. The health care workers, the essential staff who are still at risk every minute they are on shift, the little old lady down the street. We must all do everything we can to assist our medical emergency staff in controlling the spread of the virus as much as we can. That starts with us. With washing our hands. With using hand sanitizer. With social distancing.
Koolkuna means A Place of Safety, & that is all we want for everyone.
