In barrels deep, her secrets slept,
Where stolen gold and whiskey wept.
The Moll of Mulbring, sharp and sly,
With gin in hand and a knowing eye.
She hid her jewels, she hid her pride,
But never once did she run or hide.
A gamblerās laugh, a schemerās grace,
A woman untamed, impossible to trace.
A glass for her, a glass for her sight,
One for the gin, one watching the night.
āDo as you please,ā sheād softly confide,
āBut never get caught with the law at your side.ā

A masterful blend of tradition and innovation, steeped in the depths of uniquely Australian heritage. Aged in rare oak barrels that previously nurtured fine whiskies, this gin takes on a rich, complex character, marrying the crispness of its botanical blend with the mellow smoothness of oak. Its flavor profile is elegantly layered with hints of vanilla and toasted caramel, punctuated by the bright, piney notes of juniper and a subtle smokiness that whispers of its barrel-aged lineage.
After her husbandās death, she sought an honest living but found only cruelty at the hands of the law. Her life turned darker when she lost her right eye to a drunken police officerās rage. Stripped of options, she became known as the Moll of Mulbring, forced into prostitution to survive.
But Susanaās spirit was never one to bow. In pain and driven to drink, she took to distilling her own gināa brew as potent and unrelenting as the woman herself. From beneath the old family homestead, she stored liters of illegally distilled gin in stolen whiskey barrels, hidden alongside the ill-gotten goods of her brazen schemes. She entertained scoundrels and scallywags with equal parts charm and cunning, getting them drunk and stripping them of all they hadāpockets emptied, hearts stolen, and pride left behind.
The police came often. Sometimes to interrogate, sometimes for favors, but they never left empty-handed. And yet, despite their frequent visits, they never found her hidden treasures beneath the floorboards. Susanaās cleverness kept her one step ahead, her wry grin always daring the world to catch her.
Her living relatives still tell the tale of old Granny Reynolds, sneaking under the trapdoor every night and returning with two glasses of her moonshine gin. One she would drink. The other, she would place her glass eye in, turning to the children with a sly smile and saying:
āRemember, someoneās always watching. You can do anything you want, however wickedājust make sure no oneās looking when you do it.ā
She died as she lived, unapologetically herselfāsitting in her chair above the trapdoor, her glass eye resting in a tumbler of gin, forever watching.
Leaden Hearts Rare Oak Barrel Aged Gin is inspired by her infamous life and indomitable spirit. Aged for three months in whiskey barrels on the same land where she lived and died, this gin is as bold, cheeky, and one of a kind as Susana herself.
This gin is a tribute to the rogues, the daring, and those who face lifeās hardships with a grin and a raised glass.

The Ballad of Susana Reynolds
The Ballad of Susana Reynolds ā TheĀ
They called her a widow, but she was no wife,
They called her a sinner, but sin was her life.
They called her a thief, but she only took
What a man left behind when he lost with a look.
She was storm-lit laughter, wild and free,
A shadow that danced where no law could see.
A woman unbroken, with fire in her veins,
Who drank with the rogues and laughed at their chains.
They tried to break her, to make her kneel,
But her heart was iron, her spine was steel.
The law struck first, with a drunken hand,
Left her sightless in one eyeābut not blind to their plans.
With a wink from the good one, she poured a glass,
A measure of gin, a memory past.
And when the men drank, and the dice were rolled,
She slipped from their pockets their silver and gold.
Beneath her floorboards, the barrels lay deep,
A fortune in liquor, a secret to keep.
The coppers came knocking, boots heavy with threat,
But they never found where her empire was set.
She took in the scoundrels, the weary, the worn,
She took in the lovers, the lost and the torn.
And when the night grew thick with schemes,
She whispered low of outlaw dreams.
One eye gone, but one eye keen,
She ruled her world like a whisky queen.
And when the lawmen swore theyād win,
She raised her glass and drank to sin.
They found her at last, but too late by far,
Sitting at peace beneath the stars.
A bottle of gin, a life well-played,
A legacy left in the games she made.
And still, they say, in the dim fireās glow,
She watches the living, the ones who knowā
That freedomās a lie unless itās defied,
And some souls were never meant to be tied.
So pour one strong, let the past flow fast,
For Susana Reynolds, who never looked back.
And if you dare, leave a glass out tonight,
For the watching eye in the pale moonlight.
